Vote for Papercut! (or not-that’s ok too)
I’d like to let readers know about a fantastic new resource for project managers. It’s the Programme and Project Management Community: Home to PPM Blogs on the Web.
Amy, the creator, recognized that there was a glut of project management blogs out there, and set herself to assemble as many as she could find (and hopefully more to come) into one place. She approached me yesterday to formally submit Papercut Edge to her portal, and wrote a fabulous review about us! What I really love about PPM is that every blog is keyword tagged by their authors…so if you’re looking for a particular perspective on project management (of which there are tons), you can find them through the search tool.
As someone who is regularly looking for new and different points of view, I find Amy’s portal to be invaluable. There are so many different ways of looking at aspects of project management, and it’s important to constantly re-evaluate our positions against them. Having all these minds collected in one place is far superior to any textbook or best practice…this is a resource that comes straight from the hearts and minds of all of its contributors! I am very much looking forward to seeing where Amy takes it.
I already subscribe to many of the blogs here. While I haven’t read anywhere near the majority of them (many are brand new to me), I can certainly recommend some of the ones I currently read. The links below link to Amy’s reviews:
- How to Manage a Camel
- Change Through Action
- Critical Path
- PM Student
- (I’ll add more as I read more)
If you see ones you particularly like, cast your vote for your favourite, or vote for as many as you like!
Thank you, Amy for making a fabulous resource!
